Full Masters and PhD Scholarships at Flinders University

This is one of the full scholarship options for S2 and S3 levels in Australia. The scholarship is offered by Flinders University through the Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) Scholarships scheme. This AGRTP scholarship offers opportunities for international candidates, such as Indonesia, who want to continue their Masters and S3 research in study programs at Flinders University.

There are 5 scholarship quotas provided this year that can be achieved. The target is candidates who have a special talent in conducting independent research.

The scholarship lasts for two years for the master research program and three years for the doctoral research program. The scholarships include tuition fees and a living allowance. Tuition fees at Flinders University will be fully covered by the AGRTP. There is also a living allowance of $28,854 (± Rp 287 million) per year tax-free and health insurance.

Scholarship recipients will also be provided with an establishment allowance of up to $1,485 upon arrival at Flinders to assist with relocation costs and airfare, provided receipts can be shown.

Requirements:

  1. Citizens of any country except New Zealand, and not hold Australian citizenship, Australian permanent resident status or New Zealand citizenship
  2. Intend to commence full-time study for a higher degree through research for the first time in Australia, in the year in which the scholarship is offered.
  3. Intend to enroll in an area of research concentration.
  4. Meet all entry requirements for a higher research degree, including English language proficiency.

Application documents:

  1. Academic transcripts for all university levels attended and completed (translated in English)
  2. English language test results (TOEFL/IELTS) 2.
  3. Publications (up to five publications can be provided) each with a complete cover sheet
  4. Research Project, approximately 500 words in length, detailing the problem, hypothesis or question, and methodology or approach you will use
  5. Curriculum Vitae
  6. Email proof of approval from an academic supervisor to be your supervisor
  7. Two academic recommendations (filled online)

Application:
Prepare the required application documents in English. Create them in PDF format and name each document with the format: your name_document name. Example: Hamid_Transcript, and so on.

Before applying to the scholarship program, applicants must first apply to the research study program of interest at Flinders University and obtain an active Flinders account or Flinders Authentication Name (FAN). Registration is done online through the Flinders University application portal page. Then after having an active account, applicants can directly apply for a scholarship on the same page, precisely in the “My Scholarship” tab by attaching the application documents as requested above. Scholarship applications at Flinders University are open from April 10 to August 4, 2023.
